Hi, I had a small BSA 12/15 Martini and a spare 6mm barrel , so made 6mm TCU reamer , got busy in the work shop,the result is as you suggest , a nice light rifle , accurate and a joy to carry around ..The extractor took a bit of thinking about ..

How about .264 win MAG, I have one in a re barrelled Sako action, superb!!!, the old magnum is on a come back, the best of the 6.5 calibres for speed and energy. this calibre is quite different !

Did this once in a 30-223. Made spring loaded pivot that would cause the extractor to travel outward and then snap in behind the rim. Did you do something similar? The 6 TCU is a fine cartridge. Did you need to dish the breechblock a bit to get feeding with longer bullets? OT, but curious.~Muir

That it is! But it is really a powder eater. For the 200-300 fps you get over the 6,5 Swede or the 260 you consume 50% more powder. I built a few for antelope hunters in New Mexico and can vouch that this round is no couch potato. The Trading Post has a 26" barreled Winchester factory rifle in 264 that I think of sometimes. It's an elegant looking rifle, for sure.~Muir
