Bore Tech C4 Carbon remover

Maybe you have a poor/rough barrel!?
None of my guns have seen anything except boretech and the proof positive brushes and rods and I can get all the carbon and copper out with minimal fuss.
Really? Do you use a bore scope or are you just looking down the barrel and guessing?
TBH I have no experience with custom barrels which may be a tad smoother than a factory one. But I doubt that this will make any difference on carbon deposits after, say, 15 rounds.

The simple fact that your patches will be clean after this and that, as advertised by Bore Tech, does not mean that your barrel is actually clean.

I‘m not wanting to get into a pixxing contest here. A minor carbon layer in the grooves, especially close to the chamber, is more or less inevitable, regardless of the cleaning procedure applied.
My message is, there is no solvent that will clean away carbon completely, not even after a couple of shots. This needs mechanical work!

I have had them scoped my a gunsmith after cleaning out of curiosity and all copper had been removed but small amounts of carbon were still there.
If I’m honest my factory Tikka barrel is less prone to copper fouling than the custom barrel but it has seem a lot more use.

Too many variables to prove its effectiveness but I get on very well with it, I only then to do a full clean if accuracy is loss and use that as a measure of how effective mu cleaning is most of the time. 👍🏼
