BRNO Model 2 - Stock options

I have a BRNO model 2 .22lr and am looking to see if there is a different stock that I can fit to make it a bit more useable. The rifle originally came with open sights fitted, and therefore the rear of the stock has quite a drop to it. Since chopping down the barrel, removing the rear sight and adding a scope, the stock doesn't fit my higher head position.

Would a standard CZ 452 stock fit? minor fettling is fine.

Keep in mind it's a £150 rifle on a good day, but shoots exceptionally well. I'd just like it to look and feel a bit more suited to the scope setup. Wood or synthetic, no preference.

it depends what you class as minor feeling.
I cut the rear of a stock off a cheap air gun and transplanted it on and filled it.
then over coated with car rubberised stone chip.
done the same with my 243 zastava as well, over ten years ago and still good.IMG_20221219_145405.webp

It would have to be a stock made specifically for the 452 Varmint, Youth or Trainer, since they are the only CZ 452's (IIRC) that retained the barrel lug of their ancestor, the BRNO #2. The other 452 "American"s and "Classic"s had the two action screws, and so did not have/need the barrel lug.

Also understand, that some modification may need to be done to the bottom metal inlet, as the BRNO #2 typically had a bottom metal with a small divot, to allow easier access to the magazine during removal. A 452 stock might need to have the bottom metal inlet relieved to fit the BRNO #2 bottom metal. The 452 bottom metal was completely flat.

Thanks for the informative reply. At least I know what to look out for now and inletting that might need to be taken care of.
