Hmmm. In my very limited experience with said apparatus they were almost certainly designed by a chap who had suffered a very unpleasant experience shortly after being asked to “pop up on the couch, please”.

Absolutely useless. In fact worse, it actually splits the anal tract inside the animal and helps you smear sh1t and e coli evenly throughout the carcass

Pretty well unnecessary, keep a sharp blade and of a size to fit the species, no need for anything like that, quicker, cleaner and hygienic with a blade and less baggage to carry

I had one for a while. US designed for larger deer, but I didn’t really like it. Sharp knife and fingers are best IMHO.

When I was new to deer stalking I bought one. Tried it once on a deer and found it worse than useless. Soon gave it away and now just use a knife and fingers…….
