Nobody in Germany would use his fingers, at least not on a dear …

But the community over here is split in two. Quite a few use the butt out thingy while others split the pelvic bone. Me being a member of the latter group. If for some reason I don‘t want to or cannot do it, I just shove out as much as I can from the gut, cut it off and leave the rest of the work to be done in the larder. And yes, I will eat it myself. Most people are way too fussy about this.

Personally not keen on using my fingers unless you double glove (I seem to recall Jelen does this in his video?). Much prefer to minimise the risk of spreading contamination.
