Did the farmer get or is going to get his guns back ? If we were to implement the law as it stands when a certificate is granted they account for criminal record and all the other stuff so if this man had charges but was found innocent and not guilty then in no way according to law should they not be allowed there guns.

They should be treated the exact same way as any applicant
It’s not like it was charges and they got dropped, it was charges and found to be innocent
Then again maybe he won’t want them, I dread to think about how he must feel now even as a victim of a crime. It’s such a travesty, I wish we could do more to stop crime in the first place and these things never happen but that’s not reality

I hope the guy is ok anyhow

whos been telling you lifes fair ???
Well I don’t think in a court of law they will decide if life’s fair, in a court of law the laws the law and the persons history which by all accounts is Zero criminal record then the law would say Well he’s entitled to gun ownership and naturally court favours him or it should do if indeed life’s not fair but the courts are as they are meant to be

I suspect if he hasn’t got them back yet if indeed he wants them back he’ll have to go to court for them, I’m sure the Police will not want a repeat event to occur for everyone’s sake so won’t be keen to hand the license out
