I spoke to Ron some years ago about sourcing some parts for my Rigby Rifle, he had what I wanted but was too busty to dig the parts out, then sadly he died.

Thank for looking

Sadly Ron Wharton died, he made beautiful rifles; a fried of mine has one in 270 win, it shoots 150 gr RWS factory KS bullet in excess of 3000 fps. Its a great pity he is no longer with us.

Margarita Booker, his partner, initially continued things, particularly on the travel side. However, it is a long time ago now: not sure what happened. You could try contacting her if she is still around. Used to be at Rhome Cottage.

I believe his wife Margarita took over the business but I don’t know to what extent.

Through a mutual friend,it was Ron that contributed to me getting my first full bore' rifle application renewal. That was in the late nineties. Advised I get a 7x57 at the time. Nice man.

Ive got one of his rifles, badged as a Charles Lancaster, which I bought from the relaunched CL company. The rifle is beautiful and shoots 150gr lead to 1/4 MOA and lead free to 3/4 MOA; I’m not sure how well the new start up is going though.

Bought some old Hilver Sako scope mounts on ebay the other day, and then came with a Bunduki thank you correspondence slip, and noticed the eBay sellers name was 416Wharton or something similar .

I think her and her son seem to be selling off old stock on eBay and gun trader, including some nice old oberndorf Mauser 22LR’s for little money

I'm still looking for that lovely custom Mauser stutzen in what I believe was 3006 and sporting a noticeably funky golf ball-like bolt knob. The stock was very light honey in colour with longitudinal dark grain.
