EU Firearms Pass, Post EU Exit

So now to travel to Germany with firearms I need to get import permits for either Netherlands or France and Belgium, as well as Germany.

With the EFP it was easy.

Still Brexit / COVID / Tories have made it simple as hunting overseas will not be affordable - clients are all moving to mainland Europe. And not being part of the EU, nor having an EU passport cannot continue to advise them post Jan 1st.

And no I cannot afford the €250,000 to get a Maltese passport as all the Boris supporters are doing.

yes somewhat irritating
Eye just think how better jez an his gang would have done things eh 😳😳😳

Oop"s this is turning into the SD banned Brexit discussion again. I am well over the vote idiocy IMO and am just getting on with what"s left of my days. But when the red flag starts waving like most I will bite.
The history books in 75 years will give us all a clearer view. not for me though.
The GB government did not know that millions would die just after Indian independence when they agreed to it.

I haven’t read all through this but surely it will be like before, or going to any other country outside Eu, even in the Eu you still had to get a permit to hunt legally in your chosen country you wish to hunt or your breaking the law. So in my opinion it’s not really changing, I have never been asked to see my efp but even when showing it they still wanted my firearms cert. by righty the efp didn’t work as intended people from the Eu still had to have a permit here and Vice versa so in fact it didn’t do anything other than Pad out a folder
there’s always the doom and gloom merchants and chicken lickins, regards Wayne
Steady on Wayne that sounds faaarrr to sensible an opinion to voice ;)!!

Trouble is with the British Government / Establishment is that they are warned that these disasters will happen, yet they just stick their head in the sand, go lalalalala, blame everyone else and walk away leaving somebody else to sort out the mess.

The muppets have had four years to sort out new trading relationships and to put in place plans for the future, so that we can all run our lives and our businesses. So far we just have trading relationships with ???????????????

The loss of the EFP is just a tiny part. Think of the added embuggerance and cost that will be required for every single product, goods or service that will be moved to and fro across the channel. Yes they are talking about creating frictionless trade using technology, but government has a very poor track record.

Unfortunately I am not yet ready to hang up my spurs - I have another 15 to 20 years before that happens - but I reckon it will be at least that before anything concrete gets put in place.

Says it all really - so much for an "oven ready deal" that he promised.

And for anybody who does business in Europe, or provides services to European clients - here is chapter and verse on what you will have to do to carry on doing business in those countries - so for companies whose Cashflows that have challenged by COVID, will now have a real additional burden on complying as third party country.

And then your products or services will also have added cost of tarrifs etc. along with all the delays of customs.

Boris has just told our biggest customer to F...................F. What a good idea at time of massive recession thanks to COVID

Are you still here? Surely you would be more comfortable on the other side of the Channel (among your 'friends')?

Jamsie

Sadly I am stuck with you cos I only have a British Passport and I no longer have the right of abode, or be able to work in Europe.

Feelings and opinions not allowed in Jamsies world then? Old Adolf was a bit that way too.
Hmm!!!

Yup - and he will be delighted that the Government slipped the Covert Human Intelligence (Covert Operations) Bill through in the last week. Giving MI5 etc freedom to do all sorts of nasty things with impunity. If society is not concerned we are on a very slippery slope to totalitarian rule.

The equivalent of "I don't like what you're saying and have no sensible counter argument so I'm picking up my ball and taking it home".

So he had a deal I believe that the EU didn’t agree with as it potentially removed one of there hands from the massive till that have. So Boris and the Uk stance was always the same take it or leave it. They decided to leave it so we’re off.
We will be just fine. Incidentally I’ve not noticed much financial help from the EU to there members during this pandemic crisis???? While I agree out establishment could be doing better I don’t really think they have done that bad considering it’s all new and nobody really knew how to handle it and it’s growth.
I shudder to think if old commy Corbin would have been in charge what would have happened.
Imagine this little nugget just for a second. He more than likely would have succumbed to the virus as he was older (generalisation I know but just go with it for a second)
Who would then be at the helm

It would have been.....Diane Abbotpotomus!!!!🤦🏻‍♂️😳just imagine that for a minute. How on earth could she ever be is such an elevation position

err I believe Boris was the one who decided his deal wasn't what he wanted and decided to unilaterally change it,you know the deal he unlawfully perouged Parliement to drive through, the deal he bullied MPs into supporting by removing the whip from anyone who declined? the deal he and his flunkies said was "oven ready" and way better than Mays deal? even though the only substantial difference was the part about Northern Ireland? strangely enough the same part he and his flunkies now want to change as its finally dawned on them that it is unworkable ? and you think its the EU playing games?
as to "commie Corbyn" ? I always find the accusations of "commie" to be amusing, considering that it is Johnson who has been paid by the Russians for years and has even elevated a Russian to the Lords
No Deal was always Boris's goal, he made that abundantly clear more than a year ago
