I saw her harangue and to be honest it worried me on so many levels - bit like the RSPB. She is benighted and used entirely by someone who writes her speeches, and conjures her demons. She has a face which is unusual and an approach which is 'vogue' - blame everyone else and seek not to try something yourself to control your own destiny. Her message is about changing the way we waste the earth's resources and the effect of that but science and conscience change the way we (all of us) approach that everyday. She did not 'invent' climate change or discover it. She and her 'controllers' are in a competition to use the easy outrage to promote themselves for reward which will not be a massive change now in the things she blames the entire world for.
Population control is the first step in the long haul to solve this problem.
Its interesting that in tracing the earth's volcanic past. Krakatoa sent an ash cloud around the world causing weather changes and a DROP in planetary temperatures of 2-3 degrees celsius which lasted for 4-5 years. What perhaps we need is a 'solar shield' which can be regulated, at a sufficient distance from the planet to cool the planet - that would work the day after it was positioned. Interesting calculation to see how big it would need to be to make a significant difference at a reasonable distance in a static position.
Global warming and pollution are everyone's responsibility and to moan at governments is, in this case, vomiting into the wind.

Schooling is a strong word ... i don't think anyone gave a **** about a flavour of the month eco child giving a speech that a team of adult eco hippies wrote ... not even scientist .... like the bunch that calls themselfs wild justice ... that group is full of respected scientists right??! ... just like noone in their busy life gave a **** that she sailed to the climate summit ... actually we prayed for some big waves followed by a CO2 rich rescue mission by diesel boats to increase her already tiny carbon footprint mission .... as that boat just grew out of mother nature ... did not needed to be made ... and the plane flew regardless that she has been on it to the summit ... ... she should go back to school and become a climatologist if she really want to be taken seriously as a scientist .... yeah yeah a crying child will make people more engaged with the cause ... yep a crying normal child not a privileged little brat with a presence that radiates 'pureevil'! ... like many things in recent times she is just another talking point ... but to be fair she did succeed as she made me rather annoyed with her ....

This young girl has no respect for her elders and needs to understand that with age comes knowledge and respect has to be earned.

All this, and the Extinction Rebellion movement is a bit strange, backed and organised by the anti-capitalist brigade, if she had come to the UN meeting and said things like, Stop people using their mobile phones non-stop as they use too much electricity to recharge them, especially at night when the solar panels don't work, Make sure public transport is plentiful and cheap to use, so people don't need cars, etc, etc etc. But all this shouting means nothing without at least some sort of plan to combat Climate Control.
I gave up when she said her childhood had been robbed, , At 16 most peoples childhoods are over, if she felt it was robbed then it would seem she has wasted it herself.
But she can be forgiven, she does have mental issues and these should be taken into account, however what isn't forgivable is the way she has been used by other people to promote their own aims.
But don't feel sorry for her, she will probably get a Noble prize for ................................................well I'm not sure what she has actually done.
