Hanging in the fridge

Hello

i have a large commercial fridge which I hang my deer in, but I loose a lot of height with the gambrel to the point where the deer is touching the tray in the bottom, has anyone got an idea of how to save space. If I can I will upload a picture to show what I mean.
Is there an almost straight gambrel with a small eyelet on the market.

Cheers in advance

Joe

Instead of hanging from a gambrel, just hook an S hook inside the groin or H bone......works a treat, although your haunches will set in a slightly different way.

Joe, out of interest please what is the height from your rail to the tray or total internal height? I asked on another thread a while back as I am looking to buy a fridge but I didn't get much help.

Sorry to thread hijack!

Hi. It's a beast but I will measure up and let you know.
It hung out the back of my pickup a fair bit as it's a commercial unit.
Just the gambrels drop too much IMO.

I took a picture of my fridge for you and where you can see the "S" hooks it will hang the largest of Roe deer no problem.

i also have the Game Fridge Kit from Bushwear which will allow me to fit in Sika no problem.

dont know if this fridge kit would be of any use to you as it will depend on the width of your fridge.

i have had 2 roe and 2 Muntjac in this fridge before.

All the best.

Tam
