Harlequin Pheasants ??

Once upon a time, back in 1984, I was working in west London and my site electrician was also a part time gamekeeper in the grounds of the Police College. He always stocked Harlequin peasants and said they were far superior to others, but I have never come across them since.

Are there any greybeards out there who remember this breed?

The fawn ones? At least the hens are a ginger fawn.

Always knew them as bohemians. Used to be quite a common sight in the 80’s but rarely seen now. Not sure when they are no so popular anymore

They are all just made up names. Harlequin does sum them up better than Bohemian.
