I wish I'd never BOUGHT that

A Minox 3-15x42, the worst scope I ever owned, could not get a clear picture at a 100 meters.

CZ motorbike in the early eighties. Gave it away to some kids outside the chippy after it failed to start for the umpteenth time !

Shooting gloves with a flap on the trigger finger that folded back to allow the finger to be exposed. The flap was held back with a magnet instead of the more usual velcro.

Great idea in concept but, in practice, the magnet would always pick up the shotgun cartridges that I had in my pocket.

Sako 75 in .243.

The single most ludicrously overrated piece of equipment I have EVER owned. And I have had various kit addictions for most of my life.

Every Hardy reel I've ever owned (2 bought new, plus the 4 replacements Hardy sent to make up for their failings). So badly designed it's as if someone actually set out to make a fly reel garunteed to fail.

Wouldn't swap mine (in .308) despite numerous offers, once I'd replaced that key bolt that's prone to failure & swapped cheap wood for synth stock that is!

There's no spell check option on posts on my mac
There has been a spell check function that works on posts (or anything else) for as long as I have had a mac, which is far longer than I have been a member of this forum.

Neil. :)

Also regret buying a Browning Medallist (which I believe were actually made by FIAS)
Got one brand new and had problems with it failing to fire on second barrel from day one.
Bad idea for Browning to market this model. Fair spoiled their reputation for me.
I had a fias 20g and that only fired the second shot when it wanted to.
Nice gun other than that

I had a lot of fun reading this this morning. And a big A+ goes to the skeleton analogy I shall be using that for a while!

So, yes on the first wedding ring, dearest bit of gold I ever bought!

Car, without a doubt, the recently purchased Range Rover, (59 plate 65k) after 8 1/2 year with my Lexus RX300 which went everywhere even when I was doing part time keepering and a lot of loading that did not go wrong once.

Gun, A straight hand stock Sabatti game gun bought new in 12g started double discharging very early on bought when in Northumberland so shamefully p/x it and took the hit.

A Westwood ride on mower, no design progress for 30 years cuts our paddock well but has more moving parts than a Swiss chronograph.

Anything where I buy the cheapest thing available and my wife then says 'You only get what you pay for' this in particular applies to tools.

i traded Famars shotguns on the grey market for a while, admittedly when the company was having a few financial problems a £2000 gun (at best) with £10000 worth (or not) of engraving did 14 of them never tempted to keep one!

Anything that floats, boats are Gods way of telling you you have too much money. Might have been more fun if it wasn't for the ***** British weather, did get to love Weymouth tho'

Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 - What a dull over priced thing that was, never got on with and felt I had been robbed every time i got it out of the safe.
Theoben Rapid - .22 FAC - Sack of spanners, inaccurate, heavy, leaky, pants mag, horrid stock, rubbish internals.....The best thing for these is a metal shredder and a future as Mr Kippling apple pie tins.
Franchi 20g semi-auto - jammed worse than any hatstand I have ever met.
Every windows phone I have ever encountered.
Eley first cartridges - like party poppers with naff filling.
Muck boot wellies - leaking and splitting.
Neoprene slings - don't last and are a poor substitute IMO for leather.

A Remington 1100 left handed shotgun. It pointed well and hit what you aimed - just as well as it was effectively a single shot as it jammed so often. Swapped it for a Benelli Nova - could nt hit a thing so swapped it for an AyA No3 Magnum, which cent shoot either. Don't have any dick guns so this season myAyA Coral may be put to use - shoots brilliantly and has done so since I bought it in the 1980's.

You might want to proof-read that.
