I hear what you are saying and BASC is battling on many fronts in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland on a wide range of shooting disciplines and putting across the shooting community's conservation ethos and sustainable shooting is key.
All the organisations are working together on this and here is a good video from NGO aimed at Welsh Labour:

Thankfully most members now realise that the stuff you posted is fluff and irrelevance and has no meaning against the the torrent of anti organised negativity.
BASC gives no explanation of the failures (there are many are there not ?) just an attempt to justify and expensive failure.
I'm afraid I, and many others have 'moved on', BASC needs to try and wipe the slate clean by a few well chosen and resounding successes. Reminds me of a few lines from Shakespeare;
Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
To the last syllable of recorded time;
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death.
Out, out, brief candle!

And so it continues despite a few supporters. Worth £80 - I think not.

No if some one tacks time to answer they have my respect. But I may be blinkered but time will only tell If nothing as changed then I will leave .
It's got nothing to do with the insurance, folks need to wise up . Most of us with homes already have cover for accident liability. It's about keeping our ability to actually carry on shooting each coming season and for those who come after us !
I have dropped long time friends who can't get this in thier heads , don't care what org you join or if you join them all - just at least join one that fights for us and those who might come after us !

A good point well made. It massively frustrates me too that so many shooters point their fingers straight at BASC when something that they personally think should have been done by BASC wasn't. However they quite happily admit that they're not members so in effect have no right to expect BASC to do anything for them. Pay up and you're entitled to a voice. Pay nothing and keep quite (or at least don't expect BASC to speak up on your behalf)!

Just got back from a day on the grouse where a certain young lady that works for BASC worked tirelessly in the beating line on her day off to provide the guns with a fabulous experience going to prove that its not all about the salary
Don't agree with some aspects of BASC policy but like it or not the future of shooting will rely on lobbying and justification through evidence to whatever respected government is in power on the day.BASC seems to be the only one offering this at present so will have my subs until another viable alternative comes up

Should we ever expect an outright win against the "Other" side? When will we get a full explanation of the legal reasons we were not represented in a court over the last chance of a win?
