Is this a joke ?

Hogey its definitely not part of the standard Form 201 -2017 used by my local force, I've just checked.
I strongly suspect that your local force has piggybacked their own part on to the standard H.O. issued form.
yet another case of not ****ing in the same pot ?

That is correct, but there is nowhere on the form that actually asks you to fill in the details of other people in your dwelling.
Exactly don't have lodgers or drug dealers or any other types!! in the household it's all family . I have replied with the requested information and also asked why this information is required ? In my email. Still waiting for the reply on that.! but then I don't expect a reply ! .... There undoubtedly reading this as I type 😊😊

Never been asked about others in the household from day one of the white card from the post office let alone my Issuing force . No page 16 here ? another Quango form I expect
All i can find from
Firearms application forms

form 201 = 15 pages & 201V ? =4 pages
If you could please send . gov.uk/government link to this new form and information requested it will help others out . Only as this could mean waiting longer for a cert to be renewed Or upcoming certs to be processed and it will become a balls up if they have not included it standard all over the UK as yet ! or come to it told the UK Government to included it on the web site ? ?

Here is the link to the 16 page form issued by Northumbria police .

ref - reading as we type....my FEO asked if I was active on social media / forums etc...so no doubt they are actively monitored .

Says on the form it is not a legal requirement, that piece of paper is just an add on your force have thought up. It is not a part of a renewal form . Fit only for the bin.

I have already stated in my previous post that it is not a legal requirement.
It does say however that they need to know and failure to complete may result in delay to your application.

Just put it in the bin then

I don't know what their current policy on this is, but some years ago when these supplementary forms started circulating in various force areas BASC recommended that shooters should ignore them.

Presumably, now that HOG has been abandoned by many police forces (an act that has been unchallenged by the shooting organisations), FLOs are free to do whatever they like?

We used to have rules; however, nowadays, if my FEO asks me to dress in petticoats and sing "Take me to the river" before he renews my certificates, I will happily comply.

At the end of the day we have the choice to do what we wish to do regarding the question.
I answered the question as to who lives in the household and sent it off.
There are no home visits now due to CV19 so will get a phone call to discuss my renewal and as nothing has changed since my last renewal I do not expect any bother

Feck that I draw the line at petticoats

Yes. I have beem asked that at the interview/visit stage.
On my previous renewal, 5yrs ago, they were training someone on the job. So I got to hear the rational of who and why they would record details.
Basically it is anyone over the age of 12 (I think that was the age, but at the age that they can be considered legally responsible for their actions in an adult court). Who may have access to the property in an unsupervised way.
So that is family, lodgers, cleaners etc.

Before we all splutter ourselves into a Daily-Mail induced fit of apoplexy, I know of a example where a woman with an absolutely pristine record applied for a shotgun certificate. On paper there was no reason whatsoever that she would not be granted one. She didn't appear on any of our systems

Except that her new partner was a member of a local organised crime group, with numerous convictions for theft, fraud, violence and drugs offences. Without checks into her background and associations there's a chance she'd have been granted a certificate.

She was interviewed and after some pretty feeble attempts at denying it, it was discovered that she had no interest in shooting or shotguns whatsoever.

Take from this what you will, but in the middle of a pandemic which makes face-to-face interviews less desirable or safe, why not simply give them the info they need. Your application/renewal won't be progressed until the boxes have been ticked.

Because if you keep giving away ground you will eventually end up on the edge of a cliff with nowhere to go but down.
