Jagd un hund

I will be, I am based in Bavaria so it is only a six hour drive for me. I used to work on the SfA stand for dog tracking equipment to help my pal but my pal gave up on the show when they wanted to move his stand to the back corner somewhere after having had ten good years in the spot he had had.

Off Thursday afternoon for a 10am Friday arrival, even found a decent hotel along the way for only 59 Euros, beats the UKs ripoffs.

Travelling out Friday to be at the show Saturday very much looking forward to being back, really enjoy the show and atmosphere.

Day one completed. Show smaller than 4 years ago but not by much. Some decent bargains to be had, Dortmund in the summer so much different to January. Just enjoyed a meal at Zum Alten sitting outside in the evening sun with the wife. Life is so hard...... back to the show tomorrow. No sympathy required guys,😁

I did the show on Friday but was shocked by how much smaller it all was, halls 1,2,&3 were closed. One of the guys I knew from my time working there told me that they were 300 odd exhibitors down due in part to all Russian hunt organisers being sanctioned, Covid fears and the Chinese staying away (not that I had ever noticed them being there before). I was hoping to find bullet sales and reloading related stuff but it was zero. Interestingly though I had bought 100x .224 RWS 50 grain TMS (teilmantelspitz) bullets in Nurnberg on Thursday as my neighbour swears by them in his 5.6x50R and looking in the RWS brochure they say they are steel jackets with a tombak "copper" coating so I thought that must be why they were so good. Well RWS at the show had a glass cased exhibit of various loaded rounds with a sectioned cartridge adjacent to see the build and their 5.6x50 one looked to me like every other jacketed bullet just copper being visible, I asked but they were not prepared to open the showcase for a closer look "security" as I had a mini magnet with me. I got back home last night opened the 100x packet this morning and the magnet will not cling to these bullet so RWS are it seems making false claims.

What no body blaming Brexit for all the troubles in the world ???:british:

Just back, did Thur and Fri, thought it was very good, number down a little due to time of year, all the latest kit on display, good bargains to be had on clothing.
Hotel 60 Euro per night, what's not to live about that, 9 Euro inter city travel for the month of June 😮.
Would I go again, yes.

Well you seem to always mange to slag Britain off and go on about Brexit being the Root of all evil in many of your post including this one with rip-off Britain hotel prices !!
You got a problem with me? Yeah I live most of the year off the island so my perspective aint yer standard brits, but going on about Brexit? when was my last post ref that mire subject? What's done is done, observing from outside is what the rest of the worlds media do ref the UKs decision so I must be brainwashed.
After 40 years of going back and forth to Europe to then get a letter here in Germany telling me I must now request the right to continue to remain in Germany after the drawn out Brexit "debacle" that took almost as long as WW2 came to an end did stick in my throat somewhat.
I paid 59 Euros for a room Thursday next to the highway near Wurzburg, At the Wales coast last September "Staycation land" they wanted £200 the night so that's not slagging off the UK that's compare the market.com.
Have a nice afternoon.

Sorry to cause offence I didn’t realise you were so sensitive 🤔

My friend had a stand like each year and he said it was quiet and he hopes next year will be better.
The big shows lacking the numerous Russian hunting and fishing outfitters will suffer

On a side issue, I drove 1068 kms roundtrip and there was not one bug splashed on my windscreen when I got back home, what are farmers now doing different compared to 20 years ago? Cannot be doing the eco system any good imo.
