Keys not stored at home ?

There's got to be a line drawn somewhere, between denying entry and "I will comply as soon as I get home".

To break into your cabinet because you're simply not there at the time, should constitute criminal damage.

If there's a danger to life and they're seizing your guns, fair enough. The onus will be on them to prove it. Using an angle grinder for a simple compliance check, should never be allowed.

On a totally different scenario as most know it's not good practice to store your rifles with the moderator's on
Would I get in trouble if they come for an inspection guns all locked away safely but mods on top of the cabinet

Mods are firearms, highly dangerous and if they got into the wrong hands you've basically equipped someone to murder (assuming they bludgeon them to death with the inanimate metal tube that totally isn't a firearm)

Ridiculous as it is, moderators are subject to the same security requirements as firearms.

What is the situation if you have firearms or shotguns stored at your registered club armoury or a shooting ground. Many shooting grounds offer free storage for members. Can the police request access without permission?

Police will not be trained in working at height so just put the top lock over 2.7m from the ground

If they do happen to break on the whistleblower money from the HSE will be some compensation

I wonder if they will have done an abrasive wheel ticket 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

If you store flammable liquids in proximity to your gun safe then grinders are out of the question

so far I've got the safe mounted on the ceiling,
behind an asbestos sheet, with
a petrol can directly under it
and Pc Plod has just entered the room in a bad mood

beginning to sound like the setup for an episode of Mr Bean or fawlty towers
