Lawrence Precision Moderator Test

i use the LP zodic for stalking on a 6.5x55 i would recommend to any one who is thinking of buying a LP moderater. it's as good as a T8 and bettter than a zet-Z plus you can have extra baffls fitted mine has ten witch makes it a tad heavier but well worth it

Crikey and to think all this started over the simple posting of a product comparison test - the subject of sound moderation evokes such passion in people (especially it would seem when Lawrence Precision products are involved!) I must say I find this all quite bizarre especially when you consider that moderators all do pretty much the same thing i.e. they moderate sound - admittedly some are lighter, some are quieter, some are smaller, some last longer and some are cheaper however I have yet to find one that does all of this in the same package. What I understand even less is why a post aimed at helping people decide which compromise suits them best has been so pulled apart - it was after all just a clearly documented account of one persons opinion. On the subject of opinions - whilst I too am probably not allowed to have one as I own both an Aurora and a Nexus (clearly making me biased and my opinion worthless) however having also owned a Jet Z and regularly shooting with guys who between them use North Star, T4, T8 and Wildcat moderators - I would say that they all moderate sound acceptably however due to my personal moderator criteria being: best sound moderation possible for minimal weight, minimal extension to barrel length and maximum unit longevity the Nexus is my moderator of preference - yes it comes at a price but its one that I personally am willing to pay.
