Five years transition for smaller calibre hunting bullets, 18 months for larger ones (ie most deer rifles).

My mistake: 10 years for smaller (below 5.6mm.)
Will affect rifles more wont it, currently all my foxing is done with a shotgun, using RC50 cartridges, need to purchase as much as i can to last my lifetime really

That's what we all use really when flushing with dogs, 'we all' meaning the 20 or so guns that come with us, them rc's will drop a fox at 70 yards no problem

Everyone jumping on the non lead bandwagon don't help either. They will see people using it and assume it's OK to dictate what we can use.
No one should be using lead free until we absolutely have to.....if that ever happens. We all know it's bollox but still go along with it like sheep

I agree with that. You can see it coming a mile off. My particular gripe is the non-availability of biowads for my goose loads, but that's another story. Non lead and biowads need to go hand in hand for shotguns, otherwise they just have another stick to beat us with.
