Light stalking trousers

Ticks love to climb micro fleece material

I think the current issue tropical trousers might already be treated with permethrin, you'd have to check just which version you were getting. They make great lightweight summer stalking trousers.

Also as per my recent review of waterproofing a smock you can use a waterproofing spray on them which leaves them "shower proof" and also means they dry very quickly indeed as the water doesn't soak into them.

As it gets warmer, you may laugh, I wear shorts & T shirt, with an all over midge suit (Scotland west coast). Keeps me cool & the bugs out

in my wood you need two pairs of trousers and chaps
else you will get your legs ripped to pieces
with briars, thorns, and brambles..... not to mention
nettles. oh and sometimes chainsaw trousers.

Totally agree. All Fjällräven products in their Forest range are great for active stalkers. I've used it for years.

Fjällräven Vidda Pro trousers for me. Barents Pro Hydratic or Brenner Pro for wetter colder times.

If you are tall and 40/42" waist and don't wish to spend much, I have two pairs of brand new Sealand trousers purchased for and ideal for summer stalking for sale in this thread for £15 :tiphat:
