Long range bunnies

Shooting a golf course last night with FAC fx crown .22 running at 900 fps with 18 gr pellet
At 80 yards . Moved on to another course shooting sub 12 .177 with 10.3 gr pellet At 715 fps up to 60 yards
Both perfect for rabbits on golf courses

I avoid any call that has anything to do with shooting on a golf course these days. You're always (or should be) worried sick that there's some oddball wandering about for God knows what reason in the dark, I've seen them all in past years .. lovers, ball hunters (same thing ? ), photographers, and lost drunks. Very very few courses are 'secure' from itinerant wanderers or far enough from habitation to be safe. Go during daylight and you have the 'last light golfers', the dog walkers, and the idle wanderers, half of whom see it as their right to harass you for being 'cruel to the ickle fluffy bunnies'.

Thanks for your answers guys. I do love the presumption that my 6.5 is a Creedmore. Other 6.5s are available you know and some of us owned one before creedmores became trendy🤭
Yes getting closer is of course the right answer but I rarely get the chance to stretch out to those kind of distances.
Interested in a 223 as as an option.
Long range shooting is a fascinating and challenging part of the sport.

But I think a golf course is one of the worst possible places to do it!

I'd be using.22lr or .17hmr on a golf course! As others have said, the odds of some young couple rolling about a bunker feels like far too much risk to be shooting much past 100yards for me!
