In my experience you get 2 camps here 1 the camp of police groupies and the police can do no wrong and the other who have personally experienced the police if they come to the attention of the police for what ever and I mean what ever. The law surrounding firearms is written down , it seem fair and proportionate, the problem is it not criminal law it s he said she said 51% . The police will make anything into a problem if they choose to, they don’t need firm ground to stand on any and I mean any allegation . It’s civil law and that’s the problem like in a marriage break down both parties claim this and that and it up to the judge to who they believe. Don’t kid yourself the police will remove the certs from anyone for anything they can twist nothing into something . The problem is you can’t get your day in court and the police know this, not many people can risk their home if they lose and can pay £20k costs, I posted a while ago how much police Scotland wasted on firearm appeals it was 100’s of thousands they don’t care it not there money. There was some people claiming it was false it was not. Cert’s being revoked happen all the time all over the country. All you can do is hope it’s not you next . I really wish myself I liked something else as much as I like shooting but I don’t so I just need to hope me ,any of my children or wife don’t get into any arguments with anyone because they can and do revoke certs for anything and I mean anything, even a totally false allegation. The folk that think not me I am a good guy ect. If you come to their attention for anything say a argument in band q over parking , you could loose your cert for that, it’s that simple.
