New Toyota Hilux Problems?

Modern car paint is pooh because it has to be water based not solvent based ,all hail the environmental loons.
That's why it all just rubs away now unfortunately.
25 years ago everything was 2 pack but now it's kids colouring book 🤔

We have a lot of company cars at work that have a huge problem because they’re driven through forests and the grass and small trees on the tracks rub the paint off. Toyota only does a 3 year warranty on paint. I’m gonna have the bottom half of mine resprayed with raptor or line x or something I think.

Searching the internet for info about a new truck after you've pulled the pin is like looking in a medical dictionary when you've got a cough. Nothing but doom and panic.

As for adblue, I believe there are workarounds to turn the system off without getting a fault alert. Just make sure it's half full when it's dipped at MOT time.

Any tips for running cherry?

😅:fib::lol:

Don't blame you tbh, every autumn I Jack the car up and treat it with rust killer and fresh cerrakote .
Modern cars are built to be " environmentally friendly " Not. If a car is built to last 20 years not 5 I would have thought that's far better 🤔
As part of the deal with the Ranger I've bought, they're going to waxoyle it underneath. I'll be checking and redoing it each year.
I'm up on the Durham Pennines now and from what I've seen of other vehicles underneath, they use a lot of salt up here in the winter.

just heard of another friend with a broken windscreen on his 2 yr old hilux invincible. must be a problem here

No reliability issues but I think the 6 speed auto is very agricultural and from the dark ages, the 150 BHP is underpowered too. Bulletproof workhorses if used for what they are intended for but I will not own another. However, I do still have a genuine new spare windscreen if anyone is looking for a replacement one.
