Plans for 2021

Anyone brave enough to make plans for hunting trips in the coming year? I am not going to Namibia (Bow hunt) in June as planned but I am hoping to go to Estonia on a 3 day Moose hunt , driven and hunted with Elk hounds in October. There are some cheap flights at the moment and my thinking is take a bit of a gamble and book.

I've paid up for africa and was kind of hoping things may of calmed down by middle of the year if not possibly have a re group and see whats available

Yes, have a deposit on a Mozambique safari that should have gone ahead in November last year. Just sitting now with fingers crossed that the world can reset itself and our little group can get back out there in 21 or even 22.

I think the very earliest the world will start resembling something approaching normality will be July-august. I think it’s very risky to book anything before then, and I personally wouldn’t book anything until 2022.

I actually think there’s a very plausible chance that we’ll still be seeing Tier 3-4 applied within the UK right through the summer, and I wouldn’t be surprised if things like school closures extended into the 2021-22 academic year.

I’ve been consistently mocked for expecting the worst, yet even my worst expectations have turned out to be too optimistic!

I booked up this time last year to go to spain for an ibex at the end of this may. Not looking likely at all especially as was going to madrid for a few days before and after. Not worried I'm alive and there's always another year people out there with a lot worse real problems.

Im meant to be in SA in March. Not likely it will go ahead but flights can be moved or refunded and i have no deposit down, as hunting with a local friend.

Two trips to Africa from last year with deposits down, hopefully something can be sorted for one of them at the tail end of the year
