A few years back Mrs DB bought me a spare wheel cover with a Roebuck artwork on it so I bought S31 ROE to compliment it. Cost me £250 from DVLA. Sold it after the car got written off & got £800 for it

As an aside it may be worth mentioning how pain-free the transfer of a retained registration is if you discount the £80 DVLA fee and cost of new plates. I took one off a vehicle this week and put it on another in less than 10-minutes. New hard copy documents for both vehicle registrations through my letterbox 2 days later.

No doubt this Government will find a way of making it far more complicated and costly!

Just curious, does the UK not offer Veteran plates? They're pretty common here (and free to Veterans in many states). Typically they'll show the logo of their branch of service (unless they're 100% disabled, then they just show "DV" vertically on the left and a number to the right).
