last year done 80k from new full service history gave £350 !!! Taken me a year to get round to sorting it stands me about a grand in welding paint bits an bobs and will be well under 2k on the road totally rebuilt, ok they are thirsty but you can get second hand gas kits for next to nothing off Ebay does around 30mpg on gas so figure out the depreciation etc not to bad a deal really and everything being equal should still be worth at least what you paid for it if you want to sell up later. Had a new Range every year for the last three years...WTF is a "clutch"?![]()

Sold my old 2.5 diesel P38 earlier this year & bought a 2005 4.4 Vogue, had it LPG converted & save for a couple of blown bulbs the only problems I've had have been with the LPG system (leaks from where they spliced into the Range Rover cooling system). I average 21 to the gallon on a run which pretty much equates to 40 mpg as LPG is around half the price of unleaded. List price of the Vogue when new in 2005 was around £62K I picked this one up with 60K on the clock for £20.5K with a years warranty & it was spotless, a bargain in my opinion. Its the most comfortable vehicle save an Audi A8 I've ever owned & has a shed load of grunt, on off road tyres its not been beat yet & tows effortlessly.
Oh & the old P38 was sold to a keeper friend of mine & he's dead chuffed with it & in 7 months he's had no problems save a blown tailgate bulb.
Cheers
Chris
How did you find the diesel Chris? I have heard that they are probably the best engine on the P38 BUT are dog slow.
