and to suggest I am ripping anyone off is totally offensive
And calling somebody a “knobhead” isn’t then?
If somebody took your original post at face value and joined the syndicate believing that it was 700 acres, when it was 536 (changed only after you were pulled up), in addition you have stated minimal disturbance, but plans are being drawn up to look at putting in haulage roads and timber harvesting to commence, that is going to cause considerable disturbance.
Hence there are factual inaccuracies in your original post that means that stalkers would not be getting what they believed they were paying for, added to that even you admit the price is over the normal going rate, well that is being ripped off in my book.
It is sated on the lease agreement or tender what the size is, that’s how I know the acreage of my land, OK taken on trust of the forestry company however you can get an idea from an OS map any way. But how did you get to 700 when it says 217 hectares on your agreement?
OK if I was joining here are a few questions for you, if you don’t answer people no doubt will draw their own conclusions.
What exactly is your connection to the lease owner? Friend? Family member? Did you know him before you got the chance of the syndicate?
What’s in it for you acting as his agent?
If the cull of 40 to 50 deer is not reached is there any rumination for the syndicate members?
What is the situation with the surrounding syndicate/farms, do they have a cull plan?
Will members still have access to the land while forestay work is being undertaken?
Can guests be taken or is it syndicate members only?
Does the lease holder pay for his place, or does he get it for his trouble?
