Ahhh. Now that is not a problem with a Blaser R8: bolt stays in situ but out of battery, trigger assembly goes in top pocket, cable threads through trigger assembly aperture in chassis.
If I am away stalking and the drive will be "broken" by stops, then the holster is always used.
Ditto if I am in other 's accommodation (not all have safes).
This has never been a drama for me. Keeping the bolt separate from the rifle is not entirely without its own quaint risks.
A friend has twice had to have "engineering parts" delivered by overnight courier to the Highlands...
Hmmm. On my fac it is a written requirement when travelling to remove the bolt and magazine (which must be in an unloaded state). Is it really different over there?

There are just so many possibilities in terms of ‘cheap’ responses to you post but as I’m indifferent to the charms or otherwise of a Blaser I’m gonna spare you and the SD membership on this occasion!
