Rifle Bolt Holster

When traveling I find leaving the bolt in the rifle makes threading a steel cable through the back of the action a tad difficult!

Ahhh. Now that is not a problem with a Blaser R8: bolt stays in situ but out of battery, trigger assembly goes in top pocket, cable threads through trigger assembly aperture in chassis. ;)

If I am away stalking and the drive will be "broken" by stops, then the holster is always used.
Ditto if I am in other 's accommodation (not all have safes).

This has never been a drama for me. Keeping the bolt separate from the rifle is not entirely without its own quaint risks.

A friend has twice had to have "engineering parts" delivered by overnight courier to the Highlands...🙄

Hmmm. On my fac it is a written requirement when travelling to remove the bolt and magazine (which must be in an unloaded state). Is it really different over there?

PS
I bought three bolt holders from Snake - excellent work.

There are just so many possibilities in terms of ‘cheap’ responses to you post but as I’m indifferent to the charms or otherwise of a Blaser I’m gonna spare you and the SD membership on this occasion!

Mine has always been worded to the effect.
reasonable precautions whilst in use/transit.
The onus being on your judgment.
