Rifles Photos Please

My lightweight buffalo gun.

Original Remington action from 1879
Badger Barrel
MVA Remington pattern combination rear sight and Beech pattern front.

That's a very nice piece of work . I've got a Swedish Rolling Block that's been ripening on my bench for about a year , what I have in mind will probably look very similar to yours . I can't seem to make up my mind on caliber just yet , but odds are I'll put a Badger barrel on it . I've used a couple over the years and they are well made pipes . I like your taste in firearms.

If you decide the rebuild the roller you will want to thin the lower tang to get the grip to the proper dimensions for a sporting rifle. The military tang is too thick and makes the gun feel like a "garage custom"....

I had a similiar gun in 50-70 with a 30 inch barel and found I didn't like the balance for stalking. This rifle was built to approximate the rifle Geo. Custer "misplaced" at the Little Big Horn.

norma 308, when are we going to see your posh rifle on here .It seems like months since you sent it away to get it creosoted.Has it not turned out good enough to show us. Wf1

The 6.5 mate has been doing the fox control ,slight prob with the bolt falling to bits on the remy ,the rings of steel don't go all the way to the bolt knob lol a blob of weld should fix it !

Cheers

Here are mine. Funny how when I started I didn't like plastic black stocks. Now my collection is almost entirely of that type. I love wood but for practical use the black is the way forward. Just had the 2nd one from right/down cut to 18" and really pleased with how balanced it feels.
From the top/right.
Scopes on QR mounts so can be swapped between sauer's easily. Duralyt 3-12x50 and 2-8x42
Sauer 202 in 6.5x55 with atec maxim weighs 9 3/4 lb
