shot 4 foxes this week and 2 have being runners using a 243 for foxes and the bullets I've being are federal 100 grains, when picking them up the foxes they have massive exit holes roughly the size of my fist. any else use these bullets. was using ppu 90 grains but they are gone out of stock for a few weeks ppu never an issue they drop on the spot. thinking of going for sst ballistic tips any recommendations

just foxes 55gr sierra blitz king 243.fox and smaller deer 70gr nosler b/t.fox and sika+ 87gr vmax. just my choice, others will differ!

Normally use 22.250 for foxing these days as prefer a lighter bullet (want it to break up inside and liquidise rather than exit) but use 70gr v-max for the job in the .243.

Sounds like the bullet performed properly, runners with huge holes in their vitals does happen however I use Nosler 90grain BTs and the SSTs which perform very well.

Norma 75 grn v max work for me. Didn't get on with Hornady 75 grn sst had more runners than any other round. Both rounds very accurate ragged hole groups.
