Scottish roe bucks

8 so far and good numbers showing with some decent looking heeds going about too.All of them in good strip possibly with the mild winter and grassed a nice one thats sitting at around 600g so could make gold.Weather is keech so not getting oot as much but hopefully it clears soon.

Nice, sounds good! yes it supposed to be rain here for a week unfortunatly due to the low pressure coming in off the pacific.

Alot of the young bucks are travelling in pairs or as part of the family groups at this time of year.

Makes it alot easier to find them... but harder to stalk with those extra eyes watching!

I have been out three time and only seen the same herd of hybrid hinds each time. Me thinks the Sika have told the bucks to F off.

Still stuck at sea; back onshore 5th May so looking to put some effort in then.
Any photos of your 600g beast ?

I've only managed to get out a couple of times over my Easter holiday due to other commitments, but so far have only seen a lot of Does.

Hi

I have been out a few times looking for best Buck's to be seen (Aberdeenshire) some good bucks, 6 point young buck shot the other night, looks good plenty to be seen out later this week for the "BIG BUCK" still looking for medal potential.

Have been watching a few on my ground, mostly still in velvet . . . . . Although saying that I very nearly hit a beauty of a 6 pointer just on my boundry in the car last night, completely clean and a big old boy with a lovely head.

One for one trip so far. A weak beast that had signs of a past encounter with barbed wire or an RTC. It was still in velvet, but most of my higher ones will still be for some time. The ones lower down will be clean by now, but the weather has been so bad i have eased right back, purely recreational for me and it has been exceptionally bad here.

On the only trip so far however we saw a good few bucks, and one or two look like really big solid beasts, so nice for the future. It was also good to see we still have a healthy red population, typically they were far more numerous than the roe!

Early yet here at Dunsinnan but I'm seeing some good stuff for when our guests arrive first week of May. Mind you, they can't shoot straight a lot of the time anyway so a lot of it'll be safe enough for a while !

Looks a cracker fella.Very thick and seems very long too or maybe just the camera angle?Very narrow span too is it?

+1 on above a Bonnie Head, well done.

Had 3 bucks so far (2 out 1 in Velvet), seen a nice six pointer this morning be he did'nt present a shot.

As said does seem to be on the move.
