SD Stalking 2010

Why your on enclosed land and or acting as the agent of the land owner .

What are the rules around this Widows? The guys are stalking on an open estate and they are paying guests, so surely they will need to have the game license.

The sooner they get rid of them the better anyway, less confusion and less chance of anyone doing things illegally.

Frank,

No there isn't and phone reception is sketchy too.

Good thing too if you ask me because whenever I am in reach of the internet I am in reach of work!! :D

That was the first, and may I say the ONLY time I have lost a client  any one who looks like they may go walkabout on their own and get lost this time will be tagged with a locator on their leg :lol:

I think poor old Mick (Bob) will go down in the annals of history on the SD site ;) Hope you are keeping well Mick.

And 6 pointer I never trained Todd on someone elses smelly pants, he just follows mine :D

Sikamalc

I was kidnapped by the old people:lol:

There is a phone on the estate, but you will need to buy a phonecard to use it (no coins) Dont know where you would buy them, JAYB would probably advise.

just a note to you guys who havent been before, make sure you have plenty of fuel in your motor, and plenty of food and drink with you to last the week, unless you fancy a 50 mile drive to tesco  me and wadas will be in there so he can fill the back of his motor with tea bags

Point taken.
I am just trying to sort a few things out for my trip and will be phoning some of the other guys that are going later today to ensure that we are joined up on this. Unfortunately work is putting more and more on pressure on me. It's as if they want me to do an extra week this week to make up for my holiday next week. When JayB said it was remote he wasn't understating it!!!! I've managed to find a website that shows the cottage and looked up the rough location on google earth using the postcode.
I am begining to think twice about the journey though, will probably be a two day trip for me.

Mmmmmm 13 miles to Bonar Bridge and 24 to Tain you guys are just to use to the ethnic minority shop on the corner .

13 miles is just a stroll that's still in the town. John will have to move further out into the sticks .

well apart from the rifle, the truck is packed ready for for the off at stupid oclock, safe trip everyone and see you all on sunday.

Yes, it has been planted as partly fenced as part of the regeneration programme of the old forest, but that has not stopped deer being taken off the tops, 8 deer in five days with a great many more to come, but we have another few thousand acres to play on. Which is rather more than 1200 near Stansted;). As dictated by Sikamalc.

I find this rather a childish action considering Malcolm has given you free stalking for the last 20 years, and you shot your first deer with him along with about every other species of deer in the UK for free. Sometimes it does not hurt to say thank you!

Funny that.. Packed me laptop on your excellent and knowledgeable advice, but took me .308 as back up and guess which came out first..

Robin took a nice six point sika and if Sten Gun Shilling had remembered his pile pillow we would have had a nice 10 point red to drag off aswell on the same morning stalk..

The big boy was holding about fifteen hinds..

:D

Cutting short the SD trip as have my girl in hospital tomorrow..

The 1612 mile round trip seemed atleast 10 miles shorter than last year..

Many thanks to all for making the time in Scotland a memorable and fun experience. And to the new friends turning up for the second week it was a pleasure to meet you all and join you stalking

Malc, your a good man and many thanks again for all youve done for my stalking..

Heres the pickies which include Bobby the American client and his wife Martha who were up for the first week and what a great laugh they were..

A nice six pointer in the forest near the regen..
