SD whisky drinkers

anCnoc - formely Knocdhu - an unsherried speyside style whisky without much character (IMO) - your tastes may differ :)
I find it more like an 8 year old (bright and spicy) rather than the normal oakyness I expect from an older maturation.

Try the Tomintoul 10 if you like it or the Deanston Virgin Oak, whic is (again IMO), better @ £35

Cardhu tonight.

My Ma got me a bottle of Haig club. Now before anyone has a fit , it’s a blend and it’s actually ok very citrusy and different but nice all the same

Here's a few I've yet to start on. Another one to try is bush mills I have fond memories of it from my time spent living across the Irish Sea 👍View attachment 262572
Glenmorangie has always been a favourite, just sampling the Lasanta but prefer the Original, the Monkey Shoulder is quite nice for a blended but a bit expensive, I built the machine that puts the badge on the bottle. The Penderyn Madeira finish is very nice and Welsh, the Glenlivet is pleasant but the Tamnavulin is now my go to, double cask, red wine cask and especially the Sherry cask very nice. I’ve recently tried the Bushmills on a friend’s recommendation and it’s a nice one. You have a Good selection! I don’t like peaty or smokey. There’s a thousand whisky’s out there that I don’t like and as many I do like. I’ve tasted whisky that costs thousands and it’s sometimes very nice and equally not very nice, expensive whisky is not a measure of quality, it’s a measure of rarity. I drink what I like it’s better than everything else.

Cant say I enjoy Scots whiskey, or any bourbon that is charcoal filtered. most Irish or non-charcoal filtered bourbon I will try.:tiphat:
