As an aside , I tried an old fashioned and loved it so have a bottle of bitters , some brown sugar and oranges on standby .

Nice, the Mother in law and my mother have just arrived. Time to put on the Bose noise (or as I call them prattle cancelling) headphones and pour a dram of the Cardu I was given from work……and the house is all of a sudden a place of quiet inner reflection.

You can't buy it. It's a sample from the Japanese Chichibu distillery. I was lucky enough to get a taste.
Looking at the prices of some of their bottlings I doubt I could afford it anyway!
