Whatever way you cut it, I have absolute faith in a future for the UK outside the EU and that faith I feel certain will ultimately prove justified.
So much so, I voted to leave the EU.
If politicians make an arse of it they will be voted out of office, a deserving penalty.
But hell, the last thing I want to see is a Corbyn Government.

Bassed on what?

Is this faith like " I have absolute faith that when I die ill go to heaven and 40 virgins will await me", or is it based on any sort of hard evidence?

Because using very basic neoliberal economic markers ,we will be screwed under a no deal Brexit which is the deel Brexit voters want

I can if you like outline the parameters of the economic model to prove that, so I am assuming you have some form of pre 1980s Kenesyan counterargument ?

After thousands of posts just saying it will be great, I am reely desperate for someone, anyone in fact, to put forward any kind of sound economic model where it would be even OK

Theres a book out by Yuval Noah Harari called the 21 lessons of the 21st Century

I urge you to read it

But in fairness to a large percentage of those leavers who've posted here they've been damn consistant in stating they don't give a muntjac's hind leg for the economic consequences. Period.

They just want out; pulling up of the drawbridge and settling down with a quart of Guinness (remember those charming screw top bottles?) and an evening with Captain George Mainwaring.

Is this faith like " I have absolute faith that when I die ill go to heaven and 40 virgins will await me", or is it based on any sort of hard evidence? Completely based on the knowledge that the economy of this country relies on businessmen who will succeed because that’s what serious businesses do, both nationally & internationally.
Personally I have no time for religeon mine & my wifes ashes will blow over the Scottish hillsides where I hunt and I couldn’t possibly manage 40 virgins in one go, even if my wife allowed it.

I can if you like outline the parameters of the economic model to prove that, so I am assuming you have some form of pre 1980s Kenesyan counterargument ? Not at all. Simply because my view of where the EU is going is not in line with the thinking of a great many people, including those of other EU member countries.

After thousands of posts just saying it will be great, I am reely desperate for someone, anyone in fact, to put forward any kind of sound economic model where it would be even OK There isn’t one, not even a projected one that could reasonably be proposed. Absolutely NO ONE knows .... it’s a step into the future and pulling ourselves up by our own boot straps. The bottle is half full, so turn the tap back on & fill it!

Theres a book out by Yuval Noah Harari called the 21 lessons of the 21st Century

I urge you to read it. Not a chance .. come hell or high water, my mind is made up. [/QUOTE]

That fairy of a pm of ours let the eu use us as a stick to beat the uk with. Thankfully it backfired.

Hes a fool considering the volume ofgoods that the roi export to the uk

He has a reputation for being a wally alright, everything he put his hand to previously, he made a town halls of. He was appointed as pm, not elected. It was a box ticking exercise, he was both a gay and an immigrant, "Look at us, how modern and with it we are". The only thing is he is a pratt.

Our history, British history, has always been about prevent the domination of Western Europe by either the French or by those that speak the German languages...be they either Austrians, Prussians, Germans or Nazis...by withdrawal from the EU, by Brexit, we will hand on a platter the French and Germans that victory they have always wanted but never permanently achieved. Jean-Claude Juncker is a Luxembourger. Donald Tusk is a Pole. In each man's DNA will be a desperate hope, for the UK to stay in the UK to redress the otherwise European hegemony of France and/or Germany in Europe.

I really cannot understand how people who still support Brexit , given what is now so plain to see, can even attempt to claim that the UK throwing away its power and influence in the EU is anything other than utterly ridiculous. It’s about the most un patriotic thing that you can do to the UK.
The UK leaving the EU Loses it power in Europe and the world, makes it poorer, damages British industry and Security.
Most of the positive British patriotic values of those that voted to leave would have been represented if they had voted to Remain in the EU as a powerful and wealthy UK with political influence in the EU and the worlds largest economy. They would have kept a right to vote in EU elections too.
Voting to leave the EU is about the most unpatriotic and damaging thing that this country has done to itself in its History.

Kindest regards, Olaf

Olaf, you hold your views but so many of us believe entirely the opposite.
We view remaining in the EU to be more damaging and un-patriotic.

Our will to be free of the corruption, dictats, finacial delinquency and frankly ludicrous nonsense from Brussels and EU will ultimately prove to be the right decision.
You and other remainers need to get used to the simple fact we’re leaving the EU.
We’re leaving! - those who voted to leave the EU are the true patriotic population of our country.

That our inept politicians are making a complete horlicks of the move is another matter entirely.

If you think the world will be a disaster, then get onto youtube and watch every liberal commentator on Trumps win. The apocalypse was neigh.

In reality he has got on with the job. America is in better shape than under 8 years of Obama. UK needs a person with a vision and determination for change.

Agreed, but you try & find a politician anywhere in our current parliament suitable, capable and with the required parliamentary support. There just isn’t one. Besides, none of them want the poison chalice of Brexit ... & that’s why Corbyn the Communist thinks he has a chance at a power grab.
