Spear Type Jags

I moved over to this style of jag a number of years ago, but frustratingly with KG and Bore Tech products, the patch turns blue even before it enters the barrel via contact with the jag.

Tipton now have the Ultra Jag to overcome this problem, has anyone used them? Has anyone tried coating the brass jags with say lacquer to alleviate this issue?

The aluminium Jags of Truth - I use them, though I can't remember whether they're Tipton's or not.
What can I say, other than when using them the blue must be true; not a dissolving-jag-induced artefact.

Easier to switch to ally jags, no false indications on a patch then

I use a set of Tipton jags. Just the job. No false colour signs. The box makes them easy to keep track of, too.

Borrtech make jags that are non showing

Can’t recall their name sorry but if you speak to riflecraft who import the range they will be able to sort you out
