Steel Action

These guys are the importer.
Decent actions. Had one on the range.
They shoot well.
Not a bad option if you want a straight pull but don’t need/want the switch barrel option.

Yeah not fussed about having barrel switched. They look good solid rifles.

Amazing rifles! Shot a few. Shoot 1/2 moa out of the box or better!

Alistair Harkness is the importer. He’s a great friend of mine and I can vouch for his business, service deliverables and quality of product.

You’ll be able to see and try them in a few places, but I’d recommend contacting him directly and handling / trying them.
They’re turn bolt in a straight pull, so have the strength and integrity of a turn bolt action, in a straight pull, which underpins their accuracy, along with Lothar Walther match barrels.

He also imports and sells Schmidt and Bender scopes and good quality mounting options, and can put together a package for you. Price wise, they’re actually really good value compared to a Blaser R8, in fact, the business (Steel action) was founded by a previous Blaser engineer, so it’s, let’s just say, what the R8 ‘should’ have been.

Pm me if you’d like his contact details

Wasn’t just one either - Took three to Bisley straight from the airport after they landed from Germany, factory ammo, all just landed shot on shot on shot in 6-10 round groups. One, we just kept shooting more rounds into the group waiting for it to open up, it didn’t 😂

Its certainly a good start when you get a new rifle. Am i right in thinking they have a machined in picatinny reciever?

A couple of gunshops reasonably near to me sell them. I'm impressed with the build quality and they are not a too heavy rifle. I fondled one with a carbon stock that was very light weight. I fancy the MX version with the stock that is adjustable for length. It would make a great driven boar rifle when wear winter clothing.

A interesting design, they handle nicely and are light. Alas for me the integral Pictinny mounts spoil an elegant design.
The integral piccatiny does look a bit inelegant but it’s very strong and one less thing to worry about. Once you mount a scope they rather disappear.
