Thermal return

Ok so i commented on my Thermal being in for repair as the OP asked how long well that was 15 day,s and the unit is back i was updated regular about what was wrong and how they fixed it. It came back upgraded with the latest software and was like a new unit. All i can say is great service from Thomas Jack and i hope i don't need to use them again as i really did miss the unit.

Just had a call from TJ's, sending me a Telos loan unit.
I’m in exactly the same boat as you, mergers fecked and awaiting new stock to replace the, however they have no idea of timescales. I have been offered a loan unit telos, what the terms of the loan ? Who liabale for wear and tear / damage etc, is your unit new or used. Does the telos have a rangefinder ?
I’m still awaiting a response from TJ regarding the faulty parts and what’s been done to rectify the issues in the new mergers as mine were only 7months old before going pop, not really £5800 worth of reliability is it.

Send my guide back to them. It was weeks before they even looked at it and then they couldn't repair it in house so sent it back to China! In all it was gone for nearly 1 year! All this for a broken charge port.
Good luck!

The Mergers are less than a year old, Hoping I can get the Telos charged up & out maybe tomorrow night after it turns up.:-|
P.S. , It was Pulsar's "Firmware Update" that fecked them, so be warned............... (A f**kdate could be coming to you soon)

So after a month or so and being told my mergers were non repairable and I’m to wait for a new set sometime in the future (no timescales) no loan unit offered either. Then … today I have received a call to say pulsar have issued spare parts and my mergers are apparently fixed. My concerns are what parts have been used and are they the same part that has an issue as it’s well known to pulsar the shutters are failing. What’s the point in using the same parts knowing it will only fail again. I have asked for a full detailed repair description and detailed description of the parts changed before I accept the binoculars back. Finnbear270 have you been awarded the same as you were in front of me in the repair cue ?

No contact since being informed of a wait for a new replacement.
Just re read your post, The phrase "Merchantable quality" springs to mind?

Been doing a bit of research,
Beyond the first 30 days of ownership you're entitled to a full or partial refund instead of a repair or replacement if any of the following are true:

At least three of these apply.
  • an attempt at repair or replacement has failed*
  • the cost of the repair or replacement is disproportionate to the value of the goods or digital content
  • a repair or replacement is impossible
  • a repair or replacement will cause you significant inconvenience*
  • the repair or replacement will take an unreasonably long amount of time.*
If a repair or replacement is not possible, or the attempt at repair fails, or the first replacement also turns out to be defective, you can reject the goods for a full refund.

If you don't want a refund and still want your product repaired or replaced, you have the right to request that the retailer makes further attempts at a repair or replacement.

If you discover the fault within the first six months of having the product, it is presumed to have been there since the time you took ownership of it - unless the retailer can prove otherwise.

The retailer can't make any deductions from your refund in the first six months following an unsuccessful attempt at repair or replacement.
