Here is an interesting one gents, I know what I think has done it but I would like some more experienced views on it, I found this whilst out this evening, it's about 12-14" from ground level and 22-24" at the top. Other than the grass being flat around it no other sign but we have had a lot of rain.

Hi Leon - - how are you getting on ? Been busy here and had quite a few Bucks recently. Plenty left if you fancy coming up.

PS - - It's a Roebuck 100%

Hi John

Flat out at the minute John, not enough hours in the day the work/home/stalking balance is all out of sync - will be in touch shortly as we have another meeting coming up in your neck of the woods:-D.

I reckon its a Roe Buck, but this land is a regular for me - its about two minutes from my house and I walk it regular, never seen any other sign of deer.... at least the above comments confirm my suspicions cheers gents as helpful as always.

Roe Buck for sure.
Just planted a thousand willows. 3 weeks later a large portion looks just like that, and will properly never recover.

If it is a Roebuck then there will be other trees like it around too. It should also have scrapes at the base of the tree
