Ok I run a DNT zulu on my .223 for roe and foxes ( jockistan )

But my quartebore-06 I use for gongs and sporting a NX8 which is great for plinking bit not the best at last light

I love the zulu I really do amd fine for bimble aroind farm etc ..but when proper light stalking I like glass ...
I'm now I to a bigger bit of ground with odd reds and mixture wood and clear fell

Thinking of something established as good low light but good value .... I dare not say ch*ap😅
Variable not fixed
Like but not essential illuminated dot or ret

What would ypu put on the shortlist ?

or for twice the price

How about a Sytong or similar adapter for the NX8? That way you get the best of both worlds. Good glass during the day and the ability to dial but when the light drops clip on the add-on and carry on enjoying all the benefits you had during the day but now you can shoot into pitch black.

I have a Zulus and it's great for what you say but then on my Creedmoor I have a Delta Stryker 4.5-30X56 and the Sytong as it gives me the NV capability similar to the Zulus but with all the optical and mechanical benefits of a decent tactical scope.

I already have a pard 007c
I have a Tq50 thermal scope
But I'm also of opinion that glass is glass !
I stalked tonight legal hours after a period of time of nothing but there always and I didn't see much ... cold wind kept beasts in wood out my patch ... but bloody ace just glassing and seeing DETAIL.
I don't need another low light image intensifies
I would like a semi decent low light bit of nostalgia shall we say ...

Something better than the Nf Nx8

You have a PM

Funny you say that, that's why my diavari's are sitting in cupboard and alpex 4k's are fitted 😂
Funny thing is that at first light I don’t need the Alpex & have shot many fallow just using the Diavari(s) - I think this has as much to do with the time it takes the human eye to adjust to the failing light as it does to the quality of the glass. At dusk the light is going & your eyes are trying to ‘catch up’ which I gather takes about 30 minutes or so, hence you’re always ‘behind the curve’. Whereas in the morning you start out in the dark &, for me at least, there’s enough time between setting out to the seat & ‘legal light’ (I like to get out at least half an hour early to let things settle just in case I bump anything) for my eyes to adjust properly.
