Which flip up scope covers?

I got fed up with butter creek caps breaking so I tried the vortex defender caps. They were better but as others have said I found them too bulky and ugly. And they do open too easily.
I ended up buying Aadmount caps from the USA . They are expensive but the quality is excellent and they look good too.

I just use a neoprene cover on my rifles when its raining. Much prefer dayglo orange colour - my black / camouflaged ones are somewhere safe on a hillside. Butler creek style flip just another thing to get caught, break and cost money.

Found the Vortex to be great. I use black pvc elec tape around cap and scope to stop movement and no issues opening them.

@Norway is triggered! :stir::rofl:
Nah, I stalk deer I don't flush them.:-|
If I have time for the cameras I also have time for a lenscover. Considering what a lens does and how expensive it is, I find it worth protecting.

It's no problem to open a cover if you expect a quick shot. If you don't expect a snap shot, how will you succeed (regardless of lens cover)

Vortex defenders & Tenebraex are the two covers that I've had most success with. Add lenscloths in ziplocks, in all your jackets if you are forgetful...

I use clear BC provided they are kept clean they have no detriment to taking a shot in bad weather, once remember wiping the snow off the objective 🌨 in dire circs cling film can be used, removed in a second and shot taken.
