Which out of the box rifle do you recommend?

I think if i was buying a "new" rifle today and i didn't have over 2k Available i would buy a Tikka and it would be in .270 win because Tikka only make that size now and stuff packers in anything smaller .
If i had more to spend ?i would need to take a damb good look at Fierce Rifles
If i had Less than 2k ? I would get a clean used Sako 75 used , with the mind that i would be able to spend some on it . Out of preference i would go laminate with the second choice of walnut . Or use some more cash and put it in a Composite stock modelled of the 75 shape as its never been bettered ( for right handed shooters )
I actually bought another Sako 75 this year , planning to bed it and re-barrel . However the darn thing shot super good when i shortened the barrel up and i haven't done anything further with it and likely wont because it shoots 50 grain Ecx copper real good 1/2" at 100 on the zero check just the other day Cost £500 to buy and about £200 tops in work

My last savage was probably the most accurate rifle I've ever owned. The worst bit is, it was a 308 axis, about as cheap as cheap comes 😂 it put literally anything under half an inch at 100 and reloads were quite literally ragged holes. Shouldn't have ever sold that thing
Yes I once bought a Savage, it was cheap, pinpoint accurate and had a great trigger; I shot much game with it.
BUT, it was a Savage, and NOT a SAKO or TIKKA or Sauer, so I was exposed to the scorn of my shooting companions.
Oh the shame.
I realise now that I should have spent the $2000 or $3000 extra and got something that would allow me to hold my head up in the ranks of 'real' shooters.

A friend is looking to buy a new rifle for red, roe and sika. I'm out of touch with factory centrefires. Which factory rifle in 308 Win or 6.5 Creedmoor do folk recommend and why? He's looking for a rifle that will perform and last.
Thanks

If not on a budget Benelli Lupo, nice coating applied to the barrel, warranty is unreal 25yr on the coating and 10yr on mechanical parts,
Nice thinking on Benelli's part to incorporate the recoil reducing tech from their shotgun's into the rifle's stock I think it makes the difference.

I have 1 in 6.5 Creedmoor it will put 120gr mono/copper 2 in same hole and 1 touching @ 100yd, winchester deer season xp 125gr was same 2 in 1 hole
and one touching unbelievable accuracy, wouldn't shoot 140gr S&B SP good though.

If looking for something slightly cheaper Howa 1500 my shooting friend has one in 223 and it's areally good rifle not ammo fussy, customizable to your needs stocks galore, floor plate or mag conversions plenty of choice in those.

I was having a chat with a knife customer yesterday (an ex RFD) , you know what ? I think with the possible exception of these new Custom / Factory like what fierce firearms are doing. I AM NOT AT ALL TAKEN WITH TODAYS FACTORY RIFLES ! I feel some firms should put the Engineers back in charge (not the marketing crew & Cost accountants) That seem to be running things .
Stocks with recoil lugs screwed to the stock with wood screws , plastic mags and 223 rem rifles on the same action as a 30-06 only with the mag packed in the back etc, etc, etc? Absolutely not getting my money ! Especially when there are 20 plus year old well made and rarely shot filling up the racks of RFDs all over the nation and for very little money! these can stand you at less even after a new barrel and cera / re-blue and many wont need anything other than a service and check over

got a Mauser M12 in 6.5x55, no issues with it what so ever, I know the M18 is a bit cheaper, I got mine from braces of Bristol and their packages don’t break the bank
