I use these lad they are comfortable and very hard wearing, there may be better boots to be had but for this money I have not found them.

Do you mean the vierzenord? I've got Matterhorn boots for hill stalking and ferreting etc but a lot of my stallings down south on marshy ground so wellies are a must

Yes the vierzenord......a friend is on his 4th season with his pair now, including work use! And i know they're a bit pricey maybe, but they are good warm boots. But still just a welly, any welly boot with leak if mis-treated or torn! Whether £15 or £150

I'd recommend vierzonords too. Comfortable and durable. My last pair stood up to to being worn at least five days a week and lasted 6 years... I'd still have them if one of our terrier pups hadn't spent a night alone with them...

They can be stoopidly expensive, but I bought a new pair off 1967Spud (on here) just before Christmas, at the best price I'd seen around... In fact I'm waiting on another pair arriving as a present for the missus at this very mo'.

I will concede that they don't offer a great deal of ankle support in rough terrain, but for those situations I prefer proper walking boots and gaiters anyway.

Jim I got a pair of Musto Holmsides from the sportsman and rate them very highly. I hate wellies but yet these seem to jump on my feet more often that not now.

nutty i bought these wellies 1 week before xmas and come end of january there was a squelchy sound coming from the heel on my right foot think the inner heeel has collapsed " SO WORD OF WARNING MUSTOS FROM SPORTSMANS GUN CENTRE NOT SOO GOOD ! " has anyone else had a problem with these?

I have been using Seeland 5mm neoprene wellies with a Vibram sole for a year. They are used from walking the dog to stalking and game shooting. I have found them warm, comfortable, grippy and easy to drive in. I recommend them highly, especially as they came in under £90.

Wellies from b&q for £12 because you can replace them every year and have the advantage of new tread if you work your wellies hard. Wellies are wellies and between the gortex, neoprene, thermal sock options you can stick on the inside of ANY pair of wellies you can customise your wellies exactly how you want them inside which is the important bit...where you feet are

I wear these for work too,albeit it fishing and mine are orange,but i agree they are fantastic boots,really comfy really tough and will out last the normal purofort three times over.

I have the Le Chameau neoprene without the zip.

Have always had zips but have to say i dont miss them at all now.

Had Le Chameau and Aigle in the past and would always stick with the Le Chameau> Aigle were alright but not as good (for my use and foot)

I ordered a pair of Le Chameau wellies for my wife, on Tuesday... Unfortunately her size was not in stock ... Still, the price was great and Mark (at 1967spud, from on here) offered to try and get them out to me in time for the begining of next week ... and here they are... TODAY! ... Friday.

And the Mrs is pretty chuffed with the new wellies too...

I have had Chameau and seen other peoples and found they simply don't last. I have also just about worn out a pair of Muck boots the cold weather ones. The most comfy boots I have are Hunter sovereigns with the leather inner, but can't comment on robustness as i don't wear them often.
In reply to the Mustos a friend has recently returned a pair which the soles have parted from.

Just wonder if anyone has tried these?

Another plus vote for the Le Chameau vierzon neoprene. Best fitting, most comfortable, and warmest pair of wellies I've ever owned. I've never had cold feet in them despite knee deep snow on a regular basis over the last 4 years and they're still going strong. You can walk for miles in them and you don't notice they're on so they must be good. Try a pair for size, you won't be disappointed.
