Women

In short, they are better able to conetrol thier equipment desires and needs.

I like that! My wife, who stalks far more than I do, as does her mother and as did her grandmother keeps asking me to do something about the little black and white box I have with a set of mounts for a rifle I no longer own.

She can't be bothered with this forum and just gets on with it, mainly with the rifle she got for her 21st and the knife she got for her 15th.

I'm guessing the true reason you seldom hear the views of female deerstalkers on this Site is they are not "Kit Queens" in the way male members are. As in they don't salivate over the latest knive steel, thermal performance rating, period correct scope mounting or even if they dare own a Creedmoor.

In short, they are better able to conetrol thier equipment desires and needs.

K
I doubt this as I live with 4 females. Bags, shoes, baskets, ceramics, candles, dresses. I could go on …..

I'm here as VSS mentioned I'm sure there's other women but there either not open about it or are rare posters in general.

I wouldn't say the site itself Is bad too women but there's people on here that will argue and bicker with someone on a whim expecting the person behind the screen Is the same age and life status of them.

I joined the site and asked questions about If I could have a firearm license without the intention too own any rifles myself (I didnt want too house them in my house) and I was told off by probably upwards of 30 people because I mentioned there's someone I knew I wouldn't trust entirely mind you I think I was freshly turned 15 at the time and figured asking firearm owners directly was the best idea rather than going through google, Yet years later I've learned what I asked effectively does exist. (Alternative housing, Safe sharing, rifle co-ownership) and I've also met countless people that are under the same problem as me with the location they live they do not wish too house rifles in there house

I've mentioned my situation too a few local firearm owners and they've all agreed It will have no effect on my application (Substance abuse Its just that common here, Its just statically likely some extended family Is tackling it) but all of them agreed house the rifles offsite out of town In a more secure location Its irreverent that the person Is extended family that I have nothing to do with.

I almost vanished from the site that day I bet there's similar women and young people that have similar posts that can be taken the wrong way and decided too never return.
Its a bit easier too have a backbone when your 50's and shot hundreds if not thousands of deer and dealt with every argument and situation under the sun.

A pal of mine joined a couple of years ago. He put an ad in the classifieds for a scope he wanted to sell before he had done his 30 meaningful posts and got absolutely slaughtered. He politely said sorry for the mistake, and has never bothered with the site again, told me he doesn't need that sort of abuse (who does), he's in his 50s!

Keep up the good work.

I’ve trained a couple of female soldiers to shoot pistol in the past to get them ready for a course. Make no mistake, they could both shoot really well. The biggest challenge in my opinion was that we gave them weapons that just didn’t fit their smaller hands which made actually operating the catches / buttons and especially the trigger on the Sig with its rather heavy initial pull really difficult for them from the get go. I personally don’t know a single female stalker and just out of interest would be keen to hear how they get on with getting kit (particularly rifles) that fit them in what is I dare say a market aimed at catering largely for men.

Its the Internet mate , you haven't got to take things seriously .

Problem is far too many people get easily offended , grow a pair and laugh it off.

Yeah, he's not a social media person, Nick. Just a really nice bloke who fishes & shoots.
A couple of people have dropped off the site over the last six months because of how it's evolving, they just grew tired of the "Wars"
I sit back and watch from the sidelines

Obtaining suitable stalking clothing for women seems to be the biggest problem. None of the manufacturers seem to cater for hips, tits and bums.

Rifles don't seem to be an issue.

Deerhunter has lots and some other brands to, just ask the unicorn.

Funny everbody is making up all sort of fantasies while ignoring the woman in the room, who are the one that can answer the original question...

And yeah, this forum is sometimes needlessly abusive.

The clothes are the same for the game shooting world, lots of smartly dress ladies shooting or watching picking up, the Barbour range has a whole line in ladies clothes. Boots/wellies for ladies hats jumpers off the shelf.... :tiphat:

But high costs Tim - I remember buying Musto, Barbour and Deerhunter kit for my eldest daughter to shoot in. Being 6’4” I never find stuff in the sales that fits my long arms and legs bar Kuiu (which I have now largely moved to bar Harkila trousers) but it was always full price to find clothes that fitted her well and that she liked. My youngest was more of a tomboy (player hockey and lacrosse goalie) and was happy with the relaxed fit of many small men’s sizes found in the sales.
