Women

I’ve trained a couple of female soldiers to shoot pistol in the past to get them ready for a course. Make no mistake, they could both shoot really well. The biggest challenge in my opinion was that we gave them weapons that just didn’t fit their smaller hands which made actually operating the catches / buttons and especially the trigger on the Sig with its rather heavy initial pull really difficult for them from the get go. I personally don’t know a single female stalker and just out of interest would be keen to hear how they get on with getting kit (particularly rifles) that fit them in what is I dare say a market aimed at catering largely for men.
As far as I know, hunting is done with rifles rather than pistols. The Blaser R8 also comes in versions designed for women, and you can always have one custom-fitted.

Deerhunter has lots and some other brands to, just ask the unicorn.
Funny everbody is making up all sort of fantasies while ignoring the woman in the room, who are the one that can answer the original question...

And yeah, this forum is sometimes needlessly abusive.

Not really they don't. Only in a very limited range of sizes.
My daughter works full time in the deer industry, with her tally of deer taken being well into four figures. She also guides clients, so needs to be suitably attired and equipped, not tarted up like the female hangers-on you see at game shoots.
She's a size 6 petite. So far, Fortis is the only company that can really deliver the goods. If you know of any others, please let me know.

Not much chance of me ignoring the woman in the room, when she's my daughter.

Oh, I have a new daddy now! 😁

I’m also a size 6 and don’t find it too difficult to find suitable clothing. See my previous post: Blaser, Pinewood and Deerhunter all work well for me.

Sweaters… that’s another story! 😄

I meant the woman in my room, as you well know.
She makes enough noise about it, so not much chance of me ignoring her!

Do you do a lot of stalking? Like full time, day after day? Maybe shooting a dozen deer per outing and lardering them all yourself?
Finding women's shooting togs that'll cope with that kind of workload isn't easy, and the fancy brands just don't cut it. You're paying for the label, and that's it.
Fortis will at least tailor items to an individual's requirements, and provide extra reinforcement over high wear areas, if requested.

Womans clothes are only different models, not different fabrics in most cases, so same durrability.
How many/much does your daughter shoot?

Unfortunately many of the makes do not appear to be manufactured to the same level of durability as the men's range of clothing. Or they've got stupid extra girly bits like fake fur cuffs, or ridiculously small pockets.

My daughter shoots a lot. Only 24 years old, and well over 1,000 deer to her own rifle, plus whatever her clients shoot that she then needs to process. So her kit and clothing works hard.

My wife is size 6 as well and she found Azulwear in South Africa very helpful for small clothes (although not waterproofs). They will post to the UK and are very cheap. Boerbel in S Africa and Swanndri also good for small woman's clothing. Bleak Ridge shirts very good for smaller clothes and very good quality.

Surprisingly some of the Hoggs stuff is available in small sizes as well.

I admit clothing Is something I struggled with, however that was probably more down too me being a tight-ass and not wanting too blow £150+ on an item that may not fit, bit easier too do that when your established in life, I was not.

I ended up picking up a pair of Pinewood Smaland trousers from the gun room at Glenluce the owner very kindly knocked £20 off the price for my birthday, what for the moment of my life was appreciated very much.

I've used them pretty well over two winters now and being short a bit of extra padding/lining in the crotch Is nice for jumping barbwire fences, because for some weird reason we've got plenty of double strand fences around....

What we have at home seems very much the same, just a different cut for a better fit. Pocket config etc. are just about the same.
It look so much the same that it took Sam some time to figure out that she was on the worng side of the clothingrack after I had moved it and it got turned around... 😁

I wish we were in a position where we could attest it survives a thousand deer, but that will take a while at the rate we are going. Woudn't mind upping the tempo some though...

You need to get over here and shoot some deer! There's plenty to go around!
And if @Sammie wants a female stalking guide I'm sure I can recommend one!

We'll be over again next week, so working on it.
We like to see some different regions, but North Wales is a bit of a drive from the channel tunnel. Would be fun though

She's not based in North Wales now. Grown up and flown the nest. Not enough deer here to keep her at home!

How is that chap? I forget his name, Stuart??

He put a 25bird shoot for at the local clay ground one time . 25 each, me, wife, daughter and her then husband ( spit).
Daughter, 17 birds.
Wife, 14 birds.
Me, 7.
Him, 4.
Dear lord did the girls get some milage out of that day.....🤦
Stuart Is his actual name I believe, though most people call him Stubbs? Stubbz? Something along the lines of that.
