If a Zeiss dealer grey imports a few Conquest 'scopes on the side and Zeiss do not know about it should they be responsible for any problems that occur.
stone, i would suggestyou have bought a "grey import" as Zeiss have i am sure never marketed conquest riflescopes.
any grey import whatever the product would not be covered by a warranty from the country it was bought in.
that is always the risk when buying these products.
i could be wrong.
if you have the product from new would you mind publishing what you warranty card states please.
or indeed anyone with a conquest please publish the warranty card
so am I you may well have a case, you may not.I wonder what I will find when I eventually track down my conquest booklets and paper work
As I am now intrigued to see what the difference is
You should have bought a couple of Leupolds jamie

Hmmm well a buddy of mine who lives in Missouri used to buy Leupold until he had problems with one which he returned for repair. Leupold just shipped it back say nothing wrong with it so he re-mounted it shot some groups. Swopped the scope for a "Good" one shot some more groups and sent the scope with groups back. Leupold then found the problem and fixed the scope which he then sold. He now buys the Zeiss Conquest or Burris scopes although I did notice he had a Swaroski on his new Kimber 84. Oh yes he informed Leupold about their lost customer................................ as I recall they did not reply.
never rated leupold scopes. dont get me wrong for the money they are good and when trying one in the day did have good sharp optics.
but at night i find them a let down under the lamp. abit like the nightforce
