Bullet heads

I don’t agree. It’s only a small percentage of Brits and Irish that use the incorrect terminology. If in the US or anywhere else, no one refers to bullets as heads. The incorrect term will never prevail in my opinion due to the tiny minority that use it. It shows a naivety in the individuals knowledge when they use the term “heads.”

You are more polite than I. Anyone who insists on calling an object an incorrect name even after being made aware of their error, just because they want to, strikes me as something more than naive.
As has been stated on here , call them what you like. Just don’t be suprised when others judge you.

There is a Druid settlement just over the hill from me, if you ever visit drop in for a Dram and a slice of Haggis. john

No wonder the authorities get their own way, dealing with people who don't know what they're talking about.

One of my "golden rules" of handloading is: Never accept loading advice from anyone who calls primers "caps", or bullets "heads".

I might go one further Harry and say "I won't purchase bullets from traders who can't or won't get the terminology right". :stir:

MY golden rule of handloading is to use the data from the powder and bullet manufacture who have the equipment to test the pressure. What about rimmi shoty anni used by people on this site but when I see this I don't throw tantrum and have to retire to a darkened room with a wet flannel

This thread amazes me in that there are 90 odd replies yet some one can post up a great photo of a fallow/muntie/roe etc and would be lucky to get 2 replies.
It seems to me that many members just want to argue about this and that and have more interest in mundane schit like tyres and what dress to wear lol ha ha :D:lol::) Don`t get upset now boys.
