I don’t agree. It’s only a small percentage of Brits and Irish that use the incorrect terminology. If in the US or anywhere else, no one refers to bullets as heads. The incorrect term will never prevail in my opinion due to the tiny minority that use it. It shows a naivety in the individuals knowledge when they use the term “heads.”
You are more polite than I. Anyone who insists on calling an object an incorrect name even after being made aware of their error, just because they want to, strikes me as something more than naive.
As has been stated on here , call them what you like. Just don’t be suprised when others judge you.
