Cerakote colour suggestions and examples

I have decided to have my Tikka T3x barrelled action Cerakoted. It sits in a GRS berserk which I am told cannot be coated due to the rubber grips ( I don't like all black guns, don't ask me why, but I don't) So looking for suggestions on a practical and classy colour to Cerakote the metal work.
I really like Sniper green in examples that I've seen, and also like the Burnt bronze

I'd love to see your examples or suggestions.

Thanks

Out of interest, who does it and what does it cost?
Dance Wylde at Valkyrie is probably one of the best , he does a full strip down before prepping and cerakote.
I've had 2 done by him , the finish is outstanding . He does Cerakoteing for a number of smiths including Steve Kershaw . I think price is around £230 .20201205_100237.webp

Sorry for hijacking into your topic, I am just wondering if someone has any experience with cerakoting a shotgun.

Some of the parts of my semi auto has started to get rust after my abuse with saltwater. It’s probably my mistake as I hate cleaning my guns. I want to stop extension of rust and would love to have some protection layer over both metal parts and composite stock of the shotgun.
My 2 questions;
Does this type of coating has durability over salt water exposure?
And will there be impact over work of shotgun’s mechanism or/and shotgun’s pattern?

Thanks in advance.

1. Yes, corrosion resistance will be improved.
2. No, it does not affect the gun.

Have a look at Patriot Brown, a bit different to the usual FDE, OD or Grey.

Not sure that ceracoating will give that much protection. Salt water eats steel. Yes ceracoate will protect the outside of the barrel, but in a semi on the foreshore its all the little metal parts, and in particular coil springs that get full of crud, mud and salt. And ceracoat will do nothing to these.

You have a simple choice - wash of the mud and salt, pull through the barrel and regularly take out the action pins and drop the trigger group and blow out the gun and use a good gun oil, or a teflon dry bike chain oil. Or accept that after two or three seasons you will have to buy new parts or a new gun.

I use a semi on the foreshore, but I still think the best foreshore gun is a good strong boxlock magnum. Given a wipe down and oil after use they last 100 years of use.

I have Tungsten metal and OD Green stock on my Sako whick looks nice.

I'm not a fan of cerakote though - wouldn't have it done again.

That’s interesting.

I have a very shiny stainless barrel, currently wrapped in camo vet wrap (which isn’t ideal because it absorbs water). I was thinking of getting it ceracoted. What are the alternatives?

I have two guns that have been cerakoted, both in Graphite Black which I love.

It’s a great finish but be prepared for it to chip, especially around the breach!

I use NFM EC -Paint, comes in a spray can and if you want to remove it you spray it with the paint remover leaving no residue.

What is the legal process for handing over firearms parts to a someone providing a cerakote service?
