Stalking smock advice

Hi guys,

I'm toying with getting a smock for the new season and I'm torn between the hilltrek range, nomad hooded smock and shooterking greenland smock.
My stalking involves walking and is mainly on hill ground, so im looking for something that is wind and waterproof, without being a sweat suit.
I would very much appreciate any views.
Thanking you all on advance.

I have a hill trek and really rate it, not really in the same camp as shooterking, it’s far superior. No experience of nomad gear.

I had a Shooterking Greenland smock. It was good, especially for the price... Heavier than some but that gave it a very tough, durable feel and it did stand up well to thorn, etc. For me, the neck zip wasn't deep enough and the size zips that you open to make leg-bending easier weren't long enough to be much use. Liked the straight-through hand pocket. Didn't like the cuffs. Would have liked some mesh pockets inside the big front pouch. Upper chest pocket basically useless. Would have preferred a more scooped hem to make it longer at the back than the front. Arm lit vents are an absolute must for me on any waterproof garment.
Very, good for the money, but not perfect. I'm not sure perfect exists, though!

I only sold mine as the Mrs bought me a new smock for my birthday and it seemed really ungrateful to tell her I prefer the one I already had!

How would you rate it?
I think they are perfect for the hill, perfect for layering and can be used year round. It’s not fleece quiet but for a shell it is. I’ve never thought “this is loud” it’s superbly waterproof and the stretch makes it very comfortable.
